We have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in Hamburg. In this role you will provide effective Pre-Sales Technical Support to internal customers and other stakeholders to win contracts, provide effective after sales technical and project support to internal and external customers to achieve customer satisfaction and project P&L. You will drive continuous improvement to align product development and needs of customers.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Support of technical inquiries and clarification for Sperry Marine Business development, procurement, PLM. etc.
  • Support of service for retrofits, installation and commissioning (troubleshooting)
  • Support of technical inquiries/ clarification as well as customised documentation for Type Approval certification process
  • Application of Non Sperry Marine equipment (OEM) equipment (project scopes and customised project documentation)
  • Support (Teamwork) in generation and optimization of procedures and processes
  • Participation in taskforces concerning Sperry Marine Key products and system configurations
  • Continuous evaluation and improvement, increasing efficiency on documentation preparation and
  • Project Engineering related part of order handling process

About You

Ideally, you should have completed the advanced security clearance (Ü2). If this is not the case, it is a mandatory requirement for this role that you meet the criteria for this security clearance. 
 
  • Technical electrical education/experience e.g. a degree in Electrical Engineering, undergraduate or equivalent
  • Technical understanding and in-depth knowledge as required for proper technical application of the products
  • Ideally knowledge of marine navigation equipment e.g. speedlog, gyros, autopilot/steering, RADAR/ECDIS, GMDSS, radio, etc.
  • Efficient work and communication skills
  • Team spirit and ability to work in an international teams
  • Self-motivated and strives for continuous improvement
  • Self-initiative and independent
  • English speaking and writing skills
  • Able to travel
