We have a great opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join us!

• Development and design of mechanical components and devices for navigation systems from precise and complex precision mechanics in the gyrocompass, to control units and connection boxes for weather-protected and exposed installations, to antennas and sensor installations in the hull area or steering gear compartment - results in an exciting and varied field of activity.
• Optimization of designs in terms of cost, performance and manufacturability
• Preparation of technical documentation and drawings for production and communication with suppliers
• Participation in the creation of requirement specifications and test plans
• Supervision and implementation of environmental tests in cooperation with external test laboratories
• Preparation of cost estimates and participation in project planning
• Responsibility for the implementation and release of changes, as well as the continuous improvement and maintenance of CAD and document management

Your profile would be a perfect fit if you have:

• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable training and relevant professional experience
• Experience in the design and development of mechanical systems and familiarity with design standards and practices
• Confident handling of CAD systems (especially Inventor) in 2D and 3D
• Experience in using and maintaining data in ERP and document management systems
• Knowledge of maritime gyro compasses, navigational gauges, steering and autopilot systems desirable
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Willingness for occasional business trips
