We’re looking for a Procurement Engineer to act as a critical link between procurement, engineering, and operations. You’ll ensure supplier capabilities, component specifications, and sourcing decisions align with performance, quality, cost, and lifecycle requirements. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to translate technical requirements into sourcing criteria
- Support design-to-cost, component standardisation, and manufacturability reviews
- Drive cost optimisation through specification reviews, alternative sourcing, and value engineering
- Engage suppliers early to improve quality, cost competitiveness, and readiness for new product introduction
- Assist in supplier qualification, audits, and technical capability assessments
- Integrate with cross-functional teams to ensure sourcing decisions meet programme objectives and compliance standards
