Role Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing operational activities across multiple sites within the APAC region. This role ensures efficient logistics, customs compliance, warehouse management, purchasing, and adherence to EHS and ISO standards. The manager will also lead initiatives and continuous improvement to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound transportation to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Liaise with brokers and authorities to resolve clearance issues promptly.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, and storage optimization.
  • Implement best practices for warehouse safety and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain IFS for operational data accuracy and reporting.
  • Manage and Review APAC Sites Safety Stock for Service and Sales.
  • Support to generate APAC Sites’ distribution Order into IFS, when needed.

Purchasing & Procurement

  • Execute project related purchasing to meet operational needs within budget, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance for cost-effectiveness and quality.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company, local and international Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Drive safety culture through regular site safety walks, audits, staff training, and incident prevention programs.
  • Lead ISO 9001 management and certification, ensuring internal audits successfully support recertification.
  • Maintain documentation and implement corrective actions whilst driving continuous improvement activities.
  • Oversight EHS metric reports (via site EHS champion) and driving CO2 reductions within site specific boundary.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a regional role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, customs regulations and warehouse management
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a performing ISO 9001 and Safety environment
  • Familiarity with IFS ERP and ISO environmental/energy/carbon management systems is advantageous.
  • Risk assessment, incident/accident training and energy reporting is advantageous
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
