Role Overview

Join a global leader in marine navigation solutions and help keep the world’s ships moving.

At Sperry Marine, we’ve been at the forefront of maritime innovation for over 100 years. As a trusted supplier of navigation, communication, and automation systems to commercial and naval fleets, we operate across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, with nearly 400 employees in 10 countries.

We’re now looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this fast-paced role, you’ll be the first point of contact for incoming service requests, ensuring vessels around the world receive the right support, parts, and expertise — exactly when and where they need it.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage all incoming local service requests and coordinate follow-up services.
  • Prioritise and respond to requests based on urgency, time zones, spare part availability, and customer commitments.
  • Liaise with ship agents to arrange engineer attendance and part deliveries.
  • Prepare service confirmations and quotations, including global service rates and expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager and Engineers to plan local service delivery.
  • Confirm scope of work with customers and ensure purchase orders are in place.
  • Check customer financials and issue pro-forma invoices where needed.
  • Raise and process service invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with agreed terms and completed work.
  • Coordinate with the Shipping Department to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Provide service feedback and arrange follow-up support as required.
  • Manage returns of defective or unused parts via the RMA process.
  • Support Sales with installation projects and identify retrofit opportunities.
  • Participate in a European 24/7 on-call rota for out-of-hours service support.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on problem solver who isn’t afraid to dive in and take ownership.

  • Proven experience in customer-facing or service coordination role.
  • Maritime industry experience is a plus.
  • Calm under pressure, with strong multitasking and organisational skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
  • Excellent administrative and communication skills.
  • A team player with a strong sense of ownership and time awareness.

  • Flexible working – Hybrid policy
