We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer to join our Engineering Department in New Malden. This is a hands-on role that requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a consistent ability to deliver high-quality work. Due to the nature of the work, the position is primarily office-based.
As a Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to understand project requirements, define and agree on test scopes, and support both software and hardware testing activities. As your knowledge of our products grows, you will also play a key role in supporting the Lead Test Engineer and Test Manager across various aspects of the team’s responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of testing for more complex and higher-risk components of the system
- Product knowledge - deepening expertise in the product's architecture and functionality. Ability to independently troubleshoot system issues and suggest improvements based on testing feedback, including for technical publications
- Lab safety and setup - responsible for ensuring proper safety measures are followed during test execution. Assists in troubleshooting lab equipment and software during setup
- Continuous improvement - identifying and driving improvements to testing processes, tools, or test environments
- Leading test execution for medium-complexity projects and ensuring tests are executed on time and to specification
- Reviewing and providing input on test cases, suggesting improvements, and ensuring they meet test objectives
