Role Overview

We are a global leader in the marine navigation systems industry, providing integrated technical solutions for the commercial sector.

We develop and maintain a wide product portfolio, and currently face exponential growth underpinned by an ambitious development roadmap.

To support our growth plans we have a great opportunity for a Project Management Lead to strengthen our team.

In our multinational organisation, this position is based in our Hamburg office with approx. 60 employees, where our team of Product Line Managers, among others, works passionately on the ideal placement of our product portfolio for maritime shipping.
 

What you can expect - your tasks:
 
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management of our shipbuilding projects. You will lead a team of qualified professionals and ensure efficient coordination and successful execution of newbuilding projects from initial concept to final delivery. Your role is critical to maintaining our high quality standards, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
 
  • You will lead a team of project managers, engineers and support staff involved in new build and refurbishment projects.
  • You will be responsible for all new build and retrofit projects with the team.
  • You will foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity and high performance.
  • You will be the escalation channel for projects and point of contact for customers.

About You:

What we want from you - your profile:
  • You have a degree in Shipbuilding/Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related field, preferably with a Master's degree.
  • We expect you to have a good knowledge of shipbuilding procedures, regulations and safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of integrated navigation systems and navigation sensors such as radar, speedometers, echo sounders, autopilot and steering systems as well as communication systems is a welcome plus.
  • You have solid experience in project management in the maritime industry, with a track record of delivering projects.
  • You are a leader with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team and to organise effective collaboration between different stakeholders.
  • Your working style is characterised by results-oriented thinking. You focus on delivering projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
