Role Overview

We are a global leader in the marine navigation systems industry, providing integrated technical solutions for the commercial sector.
We develop and maintain a wide product portfolio, and currently face exponential growth underpinned by an ambitious development roadmap.
Our HR team consists of 7 professionals across Europe, Asia and the Americas and we currently have an exciting opportunity to join our HR department in our Hamburg office as a Recruitment & HR Coordinator supporting our global business and our growth plans, under the guidance of the German HR Business Partner. This is a pivotal role in the organisation as you will offer support and guidance across the entire employee life cycle. (Please note to begin this opportunity is offered as a one year fixed term contract and on part-time basis with 30 hours per week.)
Recruitment specific:
  • Work with the HR Business Partner and the wider HR team, to implement Talent Acquisition policies and processes
  • Partnering and building effective relationships with hiring managers to fully understand their Resourcing requirements
  • Manage the end to end candidate experience to create a positive and engaging proposition for current and potential employees
  • Write and post job advertisements on career websites, job boards
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of information related to candidates and requisitions using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Organise and administer selection processes including online testing and telephone interviews
  • Ensure Resourcing is seen as a Centre of Excellence within HR and the wider business

HR specific:

  • To coordinate on and offboarding of new hires and leavers through effective processes and delivery.
  • To maintain, and where applicable,  support development of the HR modules in IFS and liaise with the HRBPs and the Business Applications team to:
    • to maintain IFS to enable accurate organisation and time management
    • ensure that the business maintains accurate employment data
    • develop and provide regular and ad-hoc reports and KPIs
    • to support evolution of IFS
  • To provide generalist HR support and administration to managers and employees in assigned regions and functions throughout the employment life cycle including induction, special leave,  annual merit review.
  • To support implementation and data maintenance of the LMS system and related platforms.
  • To contribute to the effective implementation of HR projects and initiatives as appropriate including annual employee survey

About You:

  • HR generalist or talent acquisition experience
  • Knowledge of German employment law
  • Ability to learn and maintain the company ERP system (IFS)
  • Organised to balance a highly varied workload
  • Great people skills and a real team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • Strong IT literacy in MS applications
  • Fluent in German and English essential
